Hi friends, this is Kate from Eyes on the Goal!
Today is a very special day for a couple of reasons. First of all, it is snowing in Berlin. ❄️ This is a special occasion!
The second reason is: I’m starting a year-long Results Coaching tomorrow with nobody else but the one and only, the father of coaching Tony Robbins!
Not specifically with Tony but with a coach who he personally trained. Now, I didn’t plan any of it. It just came to me. I was curious what this coaching is about, how it compares to the kind of coaching I’m training now to become (Consciousness coaching).
So I made a little appointment. They called me and before I knew it we were speaking for an hour. Really sharp questions on my goals, it really helped me to drop all these excuses and all the plan Bs. They just pushed me to burn the bridges and it felt right and it felt that’s the thing I wanted to do. When they asked me for my credit card number, I gave it.
Hesitation
It was all great for a couple of days until my fears and hesitation started to creep in. You know, what if they push me too much? What if I have to leave the secure place that I am at now? What if it’s not effective and I give up in the middle of it? It’s a huge time and financial investment and as I go I work through my fears.
Something that my coach says very often. The coaches quote a lot of what Tony Robbins says:
The best and most successful people make decisions quickly and change their minds very slowly.
— Tony Robbins

A friend commented that this quote is a persuasion technique. Now that I think of it, I start to spot more of it. At the beginning of the call, they asked me to commit to being decisive. Nothing wrong with it, I was 99% in already even without the Sales talk. It’s just good to be aware.

So I’m gonna try this mantra and I will stick with this quickly taken decision and I will not change my mind. I will stay, I will do these 36 coaching sessions and a year from now I will look back and I’ll see where I was and what the journey was. And if it helps you also to see possible ways of you getting unstuck, to go through your fears and hesitation, this would be a super beneficial thing.
I start tomorrow
So tomorrow is my first coaching session. After I gave a few more details about myself, they assigned me a coach. She was super quick to respond, she called me on the last day of 2020 in the afternoon to make an appointment for the first session. It is tomorrow. I am excited, I have decided to go fully into it.
That’s the only way it can work. A coach doesn’t do the work for me. The coach in the best case can guide me, can show me some of my behaviors back to me, some of my patterns but the whole work this is done by me by the person that is being coached.
Join me for the ride
So I’m super excited, and I will document this journey and if you want to stick around I promise there will be some fun and exciting things. I wish you a great week and see you in one week’s time. Bye!
