About Kate App – Who am I

I’m (2/3 way as of early-2021) on my path to financial independence. My 3 core values are Connection, Independence and Freedom.

I’m a professional with 16+ years in software development which gave me the means to travel the world and to make friends across the globe. My career took me places: Software developer, Product owner, Project manager, Team lead, Photographer, Blogger, and a Coach.

At the beginning of my 30s, I had a full-blown early mid-life crisis. I had reached all my goals. I had ticked all the boxes. But I wasn’t happy. That was not it.

I was desperate for answers. I went out and threw myself into the world: I literally jumped off a plane, jumped off bridges, I paused my comfortable job for a 6-month sabbatical, I traveled the world, walked the Camino de Santiago, I took an acting class, I meditated in silence for 10days at a Vipassana meditation retreat, just to name a few.

Only to discover – I had all the answers within. I could have saved myself all that time and went directly to Consciousness coaching. In 2016 I had my first coaching experience. It has opened so much for me, that I trained for 6 intense months and I became a coach myself.

Now I am available to guide you beyond your Comfort zone to find your own answers.

Why listen to me

I lead by example. In the 4 years since I started this blog, I have jumped in the deep waters.

I have personally tried and tested many strategies, faced my biggest fears, verified many hypotheses so you don’t have to.

Nevertheless, I encourage you to get your hands dirty and make your own experiences.

My net worth is growing, and best of all – I am slowly figuring out what meaningful work means to me.

After experimenting with a 6-month sabbatical, and part-time work I realised – Financial independence is good but what do I do with all this free time ?! That’s how the Goal shifted from financial independence to creating a life I don’t need a vacation from.

In addition, I publish interviews with people who inspire me asking them about anything from their goals to their strategies and how they overcome obstacles on the way.
